Per Andrew’s advice, I have (just now) started a notebook in which I write down what I accomplished that day. Big or small, if it’s productive, it goes in. So far today I have three bullet points, all to do with cleaning the bathroom. I’m okay with this.
This made me laugh
Also, I have not forgotten about prompts! Once these flingin’, flangin’ invitations are mailed, I will have much more free time again.
Also, the only real problem I’m having with the invitations is printer related. Why do printers never, ever just do what you ask them to do? Ever.
Weddings are so much work. I can’t even imagine what this would be like if we were doing a whole huge traditional affair. But once the invitations are sent out, everything is a lot less nit picky and I can relax a bit. Once everyone knows to show up, the rest is easy. I’ll probably retract that statement in a month.
Whole design has been taken to a new level now that I actually have this sketch in hand. Awesomeness is upon us.
The first stage of wedding invitations. This is gonna take a while.
Invitation design concept DONE. Yey. Now comes the execution of gazillions of them. Oy.
Just made reservations to stay in a literal shack in Clarksdale, Mississippi for four nights, for our honeymoon. There are no words for my excitement. It is too enormous to encapsulate with a sentence.
Click on the “Book a room” link and look at the pictures of the “Red House Over Yonder.”
Four nights. My very blood is thrilled.
I love this prompt!
And also I am amused by it because while we were at the third Mill Mountain (the downtown coffee shop) I started writing a thing to you entitled “Letter from the Coffee Shop Even Though You’re Sitting Next to Me.”
Don’t fear! October wedding next to the barn is NOT going to mean pumpkins and straw bales and cowboy boots everywhere. There will be nary a gourd in sight. It will have slight nods to the season, but not be drowned in apples and scarecrows. NOPE.
Also, just saw your previous post. Missed it in the flurry of the last few days. I have many things to say on the matter and will write them down during my lunch break tomorrow. But of course, of course, I completely understand.
